Arsenal held on for a 2-1 win at Slavia Prague and Manchester City came from behind twice to beat RB Leipzig 3-2, as both English sides finished a wild Champions League night with three points. The two late games on Wednesday gave fans five goals in Leipzig and a nervy finish in Prague.

Arsenal made the perfect start in Prague. Noni Madueke raced onto a Viktor Gyokeres pass and finished low into the bottom corner in the ninth minute, and Gyokeres doubled the lead himself in the 38th minute with a fine curling finish. 101 Great Goals reports that Mikel Merino saw three chances go begging, twice denied by young keeper Nazar Domchak, before he set up Gyokeres for the second.

Slavia refused to go quietly. Oskar Kubiak forced a smart save from David Raya early in the second half, Gabriel cleared one header off the line, and Wiktor Nowak finally pulled one back in the 90th minute from David Jurasek's cross. It came too late to change the result, and Arsenal took a third win from four games in the league phase.

Leipzig was even wilder. City went ahead in the first half through a Castello Lukeba own goal, then watched Ridle Baku level the game, Enzo Fernandez head City back in front, and Antonio Nusa make it 2-2 in the 61st minute. Just when a draw looked likely, Erling Haaland popped up in the 78th minute to slide home the winner from an Elliot Anderson cross. TNT Sports called it a five-goal thriller and confirmed City's third win of this season's competition, with Leipzig hitting the post late on through David Raum in search of an equaliser.

Put together, the two results keep both clubs firmly in the race for the knockout rounds. Arsenal did the hard work early and then defended their lead, while City had to dig deep twice after Leipzig fought back. For supporters, it was the kind of night that shows why this new league phase rarely stays quiet for long.

PakInsight Hub covered the earlier games of this same round in Fenerbahce beating Liverpool 3-2 and Real Madrid winning 3-2 at AEK, as well as PSG hitting Villarreal for six and Barcelona beating Aston Villa 3-0.
